Welcome to the Friends of Harrison Hills Park web site. We believe our park is a great place to visit in all seasons. Harrison Hills Park is 500 acres offering picnic shelters ,14 miles of color blazed trails for running, hiking, biking and horse back riding. Cross country skiing and snow shoeing are good options in the winter. We have an Environmental Learning Center where a our nature programs for all ages originate and a new outdoor classroom aimed at getting children back to nature. Birders will find plenty of Spring and Fall migrants for their life lists. 182 species have been identified here since 1970 by Paul Hess a local bird expert and a National Geographic author. Harrison Hills is an annex to the Audubon Society’s Important Birding Area 22, one of 80 in Pennsylvania. Seasonal walks are led by members of the the Three Rivers Birding Club.  This is our park’s symbol. The soaring Bald Eagle is a very appropriate one since our park is located on a bluff 400 feet above the Allegheny River making it a migrating bird magnet. The combination of old growth woodlands, open meadows, and streams and ponds offer a beautiful natural habitat for wildlife and a relaxing environment for all of us who enjoy spending spare time outdoors.
